In the next few days, through the letterboxes of thousands of households across Scotland, will come the generous offer of a £150 council tax rebate to offset their next domestic energy bill.
The discount was announced by both UK chancellor Rishi Sunak and Scottish Finance Secretary Kate Forbes who matched the scheme north of the Border.
