15 pub quiz questions to put your general knowledge to the test - October 28

It's finally Friday (hoorah!) and that means it's time for the weekly ECHO pub quiz.

Everyone loves a good, old fashioned pub quiz - including those of us in the ECHO newsroom - and every week, we pull our own version together to get you flexing your knowledge. Do you think you're cleverer than a Chaser? Could you beat the Eggheads, or prove victorious in the famous Mastermind black chair?

We all like to think we're pretty darn good at quizzing, and we've certainly shouted correct answers at our television screens when watching popular quiz shows, but just how many of us actually come out on top with every question?

If your brain is packed with random facts and impressive special subjects, then this week's quiz could be exactly what you're looking for. We've thrown in some film and geography questions to get you thinking, as well as questions on everything from author pseudonyms to chemical element symbols, all in a bid get you scratching your head.

Be honest and let us know in the comments how well you did - no cheating! You can also tweet us @echowhatson or get in touch via our Facebook page. If you want more, then keep an eye out for our Halloween quiz on Monday morning.
