A 14-year-old boy from Wales has finished third at an international football freestyle championship after learning every one of his tricks by watching YouTube videos, without ever having a coach. James Taylor, from Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan, placed third in his age category at the NextGen World Football Freestyle Championships held in the Netherlands, according to a report in the Times of India.
Taylor trained entirely on his own, practising daily and studying online videos to build up his ball control skills. Alongside his podium finish, he has also gone on to set five Guinness World Records in football freestyle, the report said.
