As a Medicare enrollee, you might be shocked to discover how many benefits come with zero, or almost zero, out-of-pocket costs. While premiums, deductibles and coinsurance can apply to some services, there are many other essential services that Original Medicare covers when you meet the eligibility requirements.

A federal government health insurance program, Medicare is primarily for people age 65 and older. It can also cover younger individuals with specific health conditions and disabilities.
