A worker at a convenience store in Arizona is in legal trouble after buying a lottery ticket worth $12.8 million from the store where he worked. A judge will now decide who should get the prize, as both the store and the worker claim it.
A court complaint says the incident started on the evening of November 24, 2025, at a Circle K in Scottsdale. A customer asked for a replay of numbers for that night’s “The Pick” draw, 12News reported. The employee on duty, Robert Gawlitza, printed $85 worth of tickets, but the customer only paid $60, leaving 25 tickets on the counter.
