1000-lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton 'devastated' over 'guardian angel' ex-husband Caleb's death

1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has spoken out following her estranged husband Caleb Willingham's sad passing, following the news of his death today.

Tammy, 36, has said that her ex-husband was her "guardian angel", following Caleb's younger brother confirming the 40-year-old TV star, who appeared in the hit TLC show with his wife, had died.

Confirming her estranged husband's passing, Tammy revealed that she is "devastated" and spoke of how she "loved him dearly".

Recalling meeting him last autumn in an Ohio-based rehabilitation centre, Tammy said: "When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me."

In her statement and confirmation to People Magazine, she then went on to thank everyone for their kind messages, before asking everybody to respect both her and his families at this time.

The outlet also reports that TLC also released a statement in regards to Caleb's death, with them saying: "We are deeply saddened to learn of Caleb Willingham’s passing.

"Our condolences go out to Tammy, his family and friends at this difficult time."

The couple met last fall and were engaged by October and married in November, with Tammy also addressing Caleb's death on social media.

"Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness," Tammy penned in her emotional message today on her Instagram page.

Although the couple had a whirlwind romance and marriage, it wasn't to last, with an insider telling the US Sun that the couple "officially separated earlier this year" and how Tammy was "in the process of filing for divorce at the time of his passing".

Caleb's younger brother took to Facebook on Saturday to announce the TLC star's sad passing.

"I can't believe I'm even making this post, but today GOD called my big brother home.

"R.I.P. Caleb Willingham aka Killla K aka Double K aka one half of the dynamic WWF tag team champions The W Boys aka my biggest supporter in anything I do.

"You will be forever loved and missed. Until we meet again," he wrote in the emotional post.
