1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton admits she 'can be intimidating' because of her size

Tammy Slaton has finally reached her weight loss goal, but admitted some people find her "a little intimidating" because of her size.

The 1000-lb Sisters star weighed 717lb (51 stone) when she first checked into a food rehabilitation centre, but has since undergone a complete lifestyle transformation and dropped to 550lb (39 stone).

Despite this, the 36-year-old revealed people can still be judgemental because of the way she looks.

In a clip shared by TLC on Instagram, Tammy said: "I can be a little intimidating I guess, cause of my size and I've got resting b***h face."

But it seems like she's not letting this bother her, adding: "I'm not a BBW, I'm an SSBBW - super-size big, beautiful woman."

After reaching her goal weight, Tammy has now been approved for life-changing weight loss surgery.

In a recent episode of 1000-lb Sisters, she explained that she was only able to reach her goals with the support of her loving family.

"I really do appreciate everybody coming. I needed them. I needed to know that they love me no matter what," she said before breaking down in tears.

She added: "I needed to know that they're here for me. They love me. That's one of the biggest things to help push me through to get to where I am now."

Elsewhere in the Instagram clip, Tammy's sister Amy Slaton admitted it can be hard to stick to her diet.

While sitting down for a family meal and perusing the menu, the 35-year-old said: "I love cheese fries, tater skins, mozzarella sticks. Man, everything looks so good. Being skinny is hard."

Amy has impressed fans with her own weight loss journey, dropping from 406lb (29 stone) to 275lb (19.5 stone).

After giving birth to two children - Glenn, seven months, and Gage, two - Amy recently asked her doctor if she could try undergoing weight loss surgery for a second time.

After Tammy's surgery went well, Amy was left to decide whether to proceed with her own surgery in a recent episode of their reality show.

Amy spoke to the doctor on the phone to discuss her recovery after pregnancy, with the doctor pleased she had only gained six pounds since getting pregnant.

However, the surgeon disagreed with her wanting to attempt another weight loss surgery when she asked for it to be "redone".
