The 2024 NFL draft is just over two weeks away and the Denver Broncos have done a pretty good job patching up holes on the roster through free agency.
The Broncos have signed seven outside free agents and re-signed nine in-house free agents, shoring up their depth on the offensive line and at safety. Denver still has a few positions of need, though, with one key position still to be addressed.
The Broncos have not signed a quarterback and while the team is expected to draft a QB later this month, adding a veteran would make sense. The most notable veteran QB still available is Ryan Tannehill.
Another key position of need for Denver is cornerback. Pat Surtain is one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks, but Damarri Mathis was benched last year and Riley Moss did not start a single game as a rookie. It’s possible that Moss could take a big step forward in Year 2, but the Broncos could use a proven veteran at the position.
We’ve put together a list of ten NFL free agents the team should consider signing. There’s one quarterback, two in-house free agents, five cornerbacks, a Denver native (Calais Campbell) and one of Sean Payton’s former wide receivers (Michael Thomas). Check out the full list below.
