NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident, a car rammed into a scooty and dragged a rider on its roof for about 350 metres killing one person in Delhi's Keshav Puram police station area late on Thursday night.
The incident took place when the latter landed on the roof after being thrown into the air due to the impact of the collision.
While one scooty rider died, the other was hospitalised, ANI reported.
Five accused were arrested.
An FIR was registered at Keshav Puram police station.
"During patrolling between Prerna Chowk and Kanhaiya Nagar late at night on January 26, a PCR van noticed that a car hit a scooty due to which the person on the pillion fell to the ground and the rider's head got stuck between the car's windshield and the bonnet," said Usha Rangnani, DCP, North West.
