The latest phase of a £1.7 million refurbishment programme within a substantial Hull city centre scheme has completed, with the whole building to be ready before the year-end.
FI Real Estate Management is giving Cherry Tree Court, the former HMRC building on Ferensway, a top tier overhaul. Already home to Hull Trains and the company’s dedicated serviced office provider brand, FigFlex Office, the ground and first floors are now done, with attention turning to the final storey.
A new phase of works are underway to improve the second floor, having created an open plan layout, fitted new carpets, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, while also creating an exposed sprayed ceiling.

The communal areas of the 35,000 sq ft building were also renovated with a new reception and lobby, shower facilities, cycle store, four storage garages as well as attention given to the 46 car parking spaces.
November should see the entire building complete.
Tim Knowles, founder and managing director of FI REM, said: “This investment in Cherry Tree Court enables us to provide high quality office space for local businesses in Hull.
“Together with FigFlex Offices’ offering, we can cater to businesses of all sizes and we hope to create a thriving community where professionals can mix with those from other industries and expand their own services. Its prime location also provides the perfect commute and convenient access to the city centre.
“Cherry Tree Court is part of our commitment to continue to invest in Hull and the wider area, and with more businesses taking up space in the building, it will help us to provide a boost to the local economy and offer more opportunities for local people.”
HullTrains came on board, taking 5,000 sq ft on the ground floor, with Fig Flex a further 6,000 sq ft.
