A new survey suggests 1.7 million households (5.7 per cent) do not plan to turn on their heating this winter in an effort to save money.
The poll for Uswitch also found that more than 15 million homes (52 per cent) say they are worried about being cold this winter, and 40 per cent will only turn on the heating if they get too cold.
