The NASCAR Truck race at Watkins Glen nearly reached the sunset time limit due to several major incidents in the closing stages of the event, but on this evening, the earth’s rotation was set to Heim time.

Grant Enfinger had already locked himself into the Championship 4 via a win in the Round of 8, but he decided to go out and do it again for good measure. Two weeks after his Talladega win, he captured the checkered flag at Homestead as well after a masterful fuel-save.

Daniel Dye snatched the final transfer spot from Tanner Gray in Saturday's race, and stage points made all the difference for him. Among the must-win drivers, Layne Riggs was the closest to pulling off an eleventh hour victory, but ended up fifth.

Seven drivers are already locked in the 10-driver playoffs, five by wins (Christian Eckes, Corey Heim, Nick Sanchez, Rajah Caruth and Ty Majeski) – and two on points (Grant Enfinger and Tyler Ankrum).

It was the ninth victory of Heim's career and his fourth of the 2024 season. He now has 24 playoff points (most of any driver) and closed the gap in the battle for the regular season title. Heim also earned a $50,000 bonus for the win.

Sanchez, who opened the season with his first career win at Daytona, chased down Christian Eckes to take the lead for the first time with eight of 134 laps remaining.
