WASHINGTON — The Senate on Wednesday passed a bill that would repeal two decades-old authorizations to use military force against Iraq after supporters of the legislation had fended off floor efforts to amend it, including proposals that would have singled out Iran as a threat in the Middle East.

The measure now goes to the House, where Speaker Kevin McCarthy has indicated it will undergo a series of markups by the Foreign Affairs Committee before a possible floor vote.

The measure would repeal the 2002 and 1991 authorizations to use military force in Iraq, and now goes to the House.
