RAIPUR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Arun Pati Tripathi, the special secretary of Chhattisgarh's excise department, in connection with the alleged Rs 2000 crore liquor scam. The central agency continued its raids on businessmen and others on Friday.

Jayant Patil has been asked to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on May 12 and his statement may be recorded at the Mumbai office of ED in connection with IL&FS money-laundering case

RAIPUR: The Enforcement Directorate, which is investigating the multi-crore "liquor scam" in Chhattisgarh, revealed on Sunday that it has unearthed corruption and money laundering amounting to more than Rs 2,000 crore by a syndicate that controlled and manipulated the entire chain of the liquor trade in the state.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has alleged that Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Anil Tuteja was the “kingpin” of an illegal liquor syndicate in Chhattisgarh along with liquor businessman Anwar Dhebar and the corruption money was also used for electioneering. 

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday told a court that more than ₹2,000 crore of corruption money had been generated by a syndicate “comprising high-level State government officials, private persons and Political Executives of the State government” through an alleged liquor scam in Chhattisgarh.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Saturday listed the supplementary charge sheet filed against AAP leader Manish Sisodia for consideration on May 10. Read further on Dynamite News:
