At least 16 people were killed in landslides and flash floods triggered by heavy rain that lashed several parts of north India over the 24 hours that ended on July 9, 2023 morning.

CHANDIGARH: Punjab water resources minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Sunday said the department was prepared to deal with any untoward situation due to the increased water level in reservoirs caused by continuous rain in hilly areas and Punjab.
