For years, many states have set ambitious goals and incentives to promote renewable electricity projects. Now, more of those states are turning their attention to the transmission lines, substations and transformers needed to get that electricity from wind farms and solar plants into homes and businesses.

Tesla said it will build in Nevada the first high-volume Semi plant and a 4680 cell factory with annual capacity of 100 GWh, enough for 1.5 million EVs.

Lombardo said Tesla will build "a brand new $3.5 Billion-dollar advanced manufacturing facility in northern Nevada for the company's all-electric semi-trucks."
