Lismore residents were exhausted and frustrated after the city flooded again but disjointed communication left people underprepared. 

More than a fortnight on since floodwaters ravaged the northern NSW town of Lismore, the offices of national Indigenous newspaper Koori Mail has become a grassroots ground zero, providing basic supplies to medical assistance for locals who have nothing.

When Lismore’s river burst its banks, the Indigenous newspaper was hit hard. With printing paused, its staff are still finding ways to serve the community
