Bafoussam (Cameroon) (AFP) - Senegal were held 0-0 by minnows Malawi in Bafoussam on Tuesday despite the return of stars Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly and Idrissa Gueye, but still won Group B at the Africa Cup of Nations. 

Senegal moved into the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations but it was another disappointing performance as they drew 0-0 with Malawi.

Senegal and Guinea enter the last round of games in Group B as favourites to take the top two spots and advance to the last-16 knockout stages.

Tipped as one of the favourites before the tournament, the Teranga Lions failed to roar against a well-disciplined Malawi. Senegal enjoyed a near monopoly on possession but showed little creativity. Still, thanks to Zimbabwe’s win over Guinea, Senegal win Group B.
