Minister Rajaa's control room received 5,600+ calls/requests to help 30,000+ people in Chennai during Cyclone Michaung-induced rain. Teams provided support from Madurai and responded to requests from Velachery, Pallikaranai, Madipakkam, Perungudi, MGR Nagar, R.K. Nagar, and Royapuram. Minister Rajaa personally responded to those in need.

Cyclone Michaung | Air Force, Navy step in for relief and rescue operations

Navy personnel help evacuate 150 people from inundated areas in Madipakkam and Kolathur, Chennai. Army personnel assist in Saidapet and two Air Force helicopters drop relief material in Adyar and near Chennai Harbour. More sorties to distribute relief supplies in other affected areas planned in liaison with Tamil Nadu govt.
