Kharif sowing in Bidar district has exceeded targets for red gram, soya bean, and cotton. Farmers have completed sowing on 4,01,069 hectares (97%) of land, with cereals, pulses, and oil seeds all surpassing their targets.

Rains have caused woes for those living in low-lying areas, but have helped Kharif crops gain momentum in Telangana. Prices of processed pulses have risen 10-20% in the last 3-4 weeks.
