Karnataka released less water than ordered by Cauvery Water Management Authority. Measurement of flow at Biligundlu revealed no increase in quantum of water. Karnataka had almost implemented 1st direction of Authority but released less water than ordered. 70% of quantum of water was received in a week.

The High Court of Karnataka on Friday, September 1, declared as null and void the election of Prajwal Revanna of Janata Dal (Secular) from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency in the general elections held in May 2019 for indulging in corrupt practices during the poll process.
