The Supreme Court has been accsued of “inviting religion into the class room” after it said a high school football coach had the right to pray on the touchline.

The court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines for the coach. The justices said the coach’s prayer was protected by the First Amendment.

In a 6-3 ruling the court said that a Washington state public high school football coach had a right to pray with students on the field.

Joseph Kennedy, a former high school football coach in Bremerton, Washington, is waiting for the Supreme Court to rule on his case about prayer. And he insists he is a centrist that most Americans would agree with on religious freedom issues and the U.S. Constitution.
