The attacker fatally shot two women before killing himself in parking lot after US leader urged more gun control.

The Story County Sheriff's Office in Ames, Iowa, received multiple 911 calls about shots being fired outside of Cornerstone Church at about 6:51 p.m., it said.

The shooting occurred outside a megachurch on the outskirts of Ames, according to the Story County Sheriff's Office.
