The UK and Irish governments have unveiled new-look legacy mechanisms to examine cases linked to the Northern Ireland Troubles.

Tanaiste Simon Harris will join Northern Ireland Secretary Hilary Benn on Friday afternoon to formally unveil the proposals.

The Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery was established as part of the last government’s contentious Legacy Act.
