David Crosby has died at 81

US musician Crosby died following a ‘long illness’, his wife confirmed.

LOS ANGELES — David Crosby, who helped found two supergroups that broadened and deepened the reach of rock music, and who, with his outspoken political pronouncements and famously outsized appetites came to symbolize the Woodstock generation’s exuberance and excesses, has died, according to a source close to the musician.

The singer, songwriter and guitarist also co-founded ’60s folk-rockers The Byrds.

Graham Nash is postponing all 11 remaining performances on his fall tour, including his Saturday show at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego. A statement released Thursday night on his social media pages cited COVID-19 as the reason.

Graham Nash was 25 when he wrote his classic 1968 song, "Teach Your Children." He recorded it a year later on the debut album by the then-budding supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash, which teamed him with David Crosby and Stephen Stills.
