Elon Musk said he will allow former Donald Trump’s Twitter account to be restored after users on the social media website voted 52% to 48% to allow the former president’s return.

“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” Musk tweeted.

Twitter has become the first mainstream social media platform to reinstate the former president, who was banned from many sites after his supporters breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

In a tweet, Musk said, “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated.“
