‘1,337-km stretch of eastern freight corridor from Ludhiana to Bihar complete, first train ran on Oct. 11’
DFCCIL completes EDFC stretch of 1,337 km from Ludhiana to Sonnagar in Bihar. Revised cost of EDFC & WDFC is ₹1.24 lakh crore & ₹51,000 crore respectively. 83.8% of 2,843 km project has been commissioned. Trains can cover 400-500 km in 8 hrs, saving 18-20 hrs on end-to-end route.
