An MP MLA court in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur on April 29 convicted jailed mafia Mukhtar Ansari in a kidnapping and murder case pertaining to the killing of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai and sentenced him to 10 years imprisonment.

A statement by the ED revealed that ₹28,000 crore of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the company, and ₹9,754 crore overseas direct investment by the company are under the scanner.

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Friday dismissed the bail application of AAP leader and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in a money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam.

The CBI had registered the case related to the Delhi Government’s now-scrapped liquor excise policy on August 17, 2022, against Mr. Sisodia and 14 others following a reference from the Union Home Ministry.

On April 17, the top court had stayed the Calcutta High Court’s April 13 order directing the CBI and the ED to interrogate TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee and Kuntal Ghosh, an accused in the case, and file a report based on that.
