U.S. stocks turned higher midway through trading, with the Dow Jones gaining more than 80 points on Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell Monday, as the 10-year Treasury yield surged to hit an 11-year high ahead of the Fed meeting.

Pre-open movers U.S. stock futures traded lower in early pre-market trade on Monday after recording losses on Friday. All the three major indices recorded losses last week, with the Dow Jones dropping 4.1% and the S&P 500 down 4.8%.

Futures fell and the 10-year Treasury yield hit a new high. The Fed meeting looms after rate hike reality slammed the stock market. Tesla, Enphase are among stocks that have held up, so far.

Investors exited large-cap funds and ETFs, fund flow data shows.

The Dow Jones fell as the Nasdaq led the downside. The indexes have undercut a key level of support at the recent Sept. 6 lows.
