In a move seen as aimed at Al Jazeera and other media outlets operating in Palestinian territories, the Israeli government has approved a regulation to prohibit news organisations from “undermining national security, public order or serving as a basis for enemy propaganda”, according to media reports. 

At least 21 journalists have been killed so far in the Israel-Palestine violence, most of them in Israel’s attacks on Gaza, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists. These include 17 Palestinians, three Israelis, and one Lebanese journalist, according to the CPJ report.

At least 17 journalists are among more than 4,000 dead so far in the Israel-Palestine violence, according to a report by the Committee to Protect Journalists. These include 13 Palestinians, three Israelis and one Lebanese.
