Kia might soon use lithium-ion batteries from Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) in its electric cars in South Korea.

CATL, which is the world's largest lithium-ion battery supplier for EVs, announced another customer for its flagship LFP battery cells and CTP technology.

CATL will be supplying BMW with cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells for electric vehicles, starting from 2025.
