The Delhi Police on June 15 filed a final report before a court seeking cancellation of a sexual harassment case filed by a minor wrestler against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Singh.

It’s been an unprecedented week on the news front.

Officers said the investigating police team questioned roughly a dozen employees and associates of Mr. Singh and recorded their statements.

For months now, Indian wrestling athletes, including Olympic medallists, have been leading protests in the capital of New Delhi. They are seeking the arrest of the Wrestling Federation of India’s president, Brij Bhushan Singh, who is facing allegations that he sexually harassed athletes.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has slammed Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on the issue of water shortage in the state.

Since January, when the wrestlers’ protest against Mr. Singh started and Khap panchayats and farmers from Haryana’s hinterland started giving ultimatums.
