Ballotpedia identified 33 declared candidates for federal and statewide offices over the previous week. All of these candidates declared prior to their state’s official filing deadline.

Forty mayoral elections are taking place in the 100 largest U.S. cities by population and the 50 state capitals in 2023.

Texas is holding elections, including for school boards and city council, on May 6, 2023. A number of candidates running in these elections completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey.
