Explosions rumbled and smoke rose this week from a steel making district in besieged Mariupol where dwindling Ukrainian forces are holed up as Russia tries to take full control of its biggest city yet.

Footage shows several stationary tanks and other military vehicles daubed with the infamous white 'Z' marking them out as Russian.

"One of the mouthpieces of the occupiers stated that they could use chemical weapons against the defenders of Mariupol," he said.
