CHICAGO — With each step they take toward the playoffs, the Chicago Bulls provide less confidence to the most important postseason question: Can they beat the best teams in the NBA?

Both players continued testing their surgically-repaired wrists on Monday, getting in some extra work after the morning shootaround. Coach Billy Donovan said they both will be re-evaluated in about two weeks, and then he expects to have a better timetable for a return.

Regardless of whether the Bulls front office can pull off a trade before Thursday’s deadline, this current roster needs to start picking up the pieces and covering the holes rather than leaning on them as a crutch. Relying on being rescued remains a bad look for a contending team.
