‘Tulu Vamsa Prashasti’ inscription identified in Lepakshi, says historian
Historian MyNaa Swamy identifies a long inscription on ‘Tulu Vamsa Prashasti’ at Lepakshi temple complex. Commissioned in 1533 AD by Vijayanagara emperor Achyutaraya Devarayulu, it mentions the land, gold and cows donated to temple. Sanskrit poetess Tirumalamma composed text, which mentions legendary personalities as founding ancestors of their clans.
