A young woman who has become a social media influencer with tens of thousands of followers after starting the 'Clitorati' was inspired to help others after contracting two sexually transmitted infections herself. Evie Plumb was just 21 when she caught chlamydia and HPV.
Evie, now 23, has amassed a 72,000-strong following for her Cliterally The Best site on Instragram, where she talks frankly and humorously about everything from sex toys to the G-spot. It all began after her own experience showed her that she had been taught little about STIs.
Evie, of Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, who works as a digital and creative strategist for a sustainable menstrual care brand, said: “I found out I had HPV because of genital warts. This is the most common type of HPV. I convinced myself I was dying and I was filled with shame.”
