Seema Patil, wife of Zerodha CEO Nithin Kamath, recently shared her battle with breast cancer on podcast- The Other Side. She talked about the cancer diagnosis and how her family helped her navigate through the difficult times.
The 43 year old was diagnosed with cancer in November 2021. She revealed that her blog post on cancer was actually written by her husband. In 2021, diagnosis revealed she had stage 2 cancer which was not more than 2 years old. "I have been getting a full-body health check-up done regularly for many years. The mammogram this time showed a small lump in my right breast. Even though I had no symptoms, I decided to go meet an oncologist who did a biopsy, followed by a PET scan which confirmed that the lump was cancerous and was localized to the breasts," she wrote in her blog. She underwent a mastectomy in her right breast.
