Zelensky To Meet Trump And Macron Ahead Of Notre Dame

Donald Trump looks Confident.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to meet with President-elect Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron ahead of the Notre Dame Cathedral reopening ceremony, as confirmed by the Elysee Palace. Originally, Trump and Zelensky were scheduled for separate talks with Macron.

The United States stands as the largest provider of military assistance to Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia. President Trump has expressed uncertainty regarding the continuation of US aid to Kyiv and has suggested that the war might not have commenced if he had been in office earlier. In a statement made in July, Trump claimed he could resolve the conflict in a single day, although he did not elaborate on his proposed approach.

Zelensky, in late November, expressed his willingness to collaborate directly with Trump and indicated his openness to the President's suggestions. He also mentioned his belief that the war with Russia could potentially conclude next year, emphasizing his anticipation of Trump's recommendations for resolving the conflict.

The two leaders previously met at Trump Tower in New York in September, where Zelensky described their discussions as positive, warm, and productive.
