Zara Tindall never has same meal as husband Mike - who relies mostly on takeaways

The Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall and her husband never have their meals together after the royal made a 'change to her diet'.

Former rugby star Mike Tindall says that since having their three children, wife Zara no longer eats red meat, leaving him to look after his own meals.

As a result, the couple always have different dinners - with Mike relying mostly on takeaways being delivered to their home due to his lack of cooking skills, the Mirror reports.

Speaking to the Daily Mail's Richard Eden about his eating habits, he said: "My wife Zara's appetites have changed since having children. She's not into eating red meat anymore, so now I look after my own meals.

"I do this through a company that delivers most of my food because then it's easy to keep track of my calorie intake.

"I'm not a massive fan of cooking. Zara can look in the fridge and plan what to eat but that's not my skill-set."

He also added that he has four meals a day and is all about routine, which harks back to his rugby days when most of his food was provided for him.

Earlier this month, Mike and wife Zara were pictured doting on their three kids as they treated them to a fun family day out.

The family of five were spotted at the Burnham Market International Horse Trials in Norfolk where Zara, the Queen's granddaughter, was competing.

The youngsters, who are grandchildren of Princess Anne and great-grandchildren of the Queen, appeared to be having a whale of a time as they rolled around on the ground with former rugby player Mike and had fun running around the show grounds.

The couple's older children Mia and Lena have been snapped supporting their mum at similar equestrian events in the past.

However, it was the first time that royal fans have had a proper glimpse of their one-year-old son Lucas, who was snapped smiling at mum Zara and playing in the grass with dad Mike.

Despite being part of the royal family, Zara and her children do not hold any royal titles and live a low-key life in Gloucestershire.

However, last month their oldest daughter Mia joined Zara and Mike along with older cousins Savannah and Isla Phillips at their great-grandfather Prince Philip's memorial service at Westminster Abbey.
