Former Love Island contestant Zara McDermott feared that her 'nudes had been leaked' on Instagram after receiving a stream of shocked texts when her ex Adam Collard re-entered the villa this summer.
Speaking on the red carpet of the star-studded Pride of Britain Awards, the influencer explained that her boyfriend Sam Thompson caught her initial panic on camera when he filmed a video of the couple's hilarious reaction to Adam's Love Island return.
But there was more than meets the eye with Zara's reaction, as the dread had actually sunk in moments before she'd realised that Adam was on the show.
Commenting on the real story behind the clip, the Love Island star told The Mirror: "Do you know what the funniest thing about that was? We'd rewound it to watch something again, so we were about 30 seconds behind.
"The reason I'm looking down at my phone in the video is because all my friends have text me saying 'oh my god, oh my god'
"And I was thinking... has something happened, has a nude of me gone on Instagram, have I accidentally posted something, what have I done?
"And then, there it was. It was great. It was brilliant."
Opening up about seeing her ex return to the villa, Zara said: "It was definitely weird watching it, when you've been in there and you're watching it from the outside again.
The star clearly isn't one to hold grudges, however, as she added: "Look, good on him giving it a second go. Why not? It's an opportunity."
At the end of the viral clip, Zara looks visibly shocked as her ex appears on her TV screen, as her partner Sam offers up a hilarious commentary on the whole ordeal.
Before realising who the new bombshell contestant is, the former Made in Chelsea star swoons over Adam's physique as he says: "Wow, he's jacked!"
When it finally dawns on him that the muscly bloke is in fact Zara's ex, Sam screams: "Who’s this guy? Who’s this absolute animal? It’s your ex-boyfriend!"
In that moment, Zara looks up from her phone in utter disbelief as her jaw hits the floor over the announcement.
After her Love Island debut in 2018, Sam and Zara first started dating the following year, and it wasn't long before she joined him on the set of Made In Chelsea.
The loved-up couple have since amassed a loyal fan-base thanks to their hilarious videos on social media.
Zara dazzled on the Pride of Britain red carpet as she plumped for a low-cut, bronze shimmery gown with ruched detailing at the waist.
The dress was made by Chanel Joan Elkayam, a fashion label which also crafted Sam Thompson's silk bow tie for the glitzy ceremony.
Thrilled to be invited to such a humbling event packed with real-life heroes, Zara said: "I’m really excited. This is one of the moments I look forward to most in the whole year.
"You feel a real sense of patriotism around you. It’s all about the good that people have done and are doing in this country and I think it’s so important to celebrate that.
"I'm definitely going to end up crying, it's going to be an emotional night."
When asked about her boyfriend's role as host of Pride of Britain's Facebook Live event, Zara shot Sam a loving look on the red carpet, and said: "I'm so proud of him. He was actually really nervous before he came. It's quite a lot of pressure, but he's doing so well. He's such an angel."
The star explained that she can't wait to see what's next for Love Island, as Maya Jama has been officially announced as the show's next host.
"I'm really interested to see what she brings to the show, because I do think that a presenter can bring a tone and a dynamic and really make it their own.
"She's going to bring a new dimension to the show that I'm really excited to see."
