Zack Steffen has played down talk that he could join former Manchester City assistant Enzo Maresca at Leicester, insisting he is calm about his future.
City stopper Steffen looks set for a permanent exit this summer after leaving on loan last season. Steffen had a mixed time at Middlesbrough in the Championship, while Stefan Ortega arrived at City on a free transfer and impressed as he helped the Blues to win the FA Cup.
Steffen has admitted that he has no plans to return to City, with Pep Guardiola's goalkeeping department looking set for next season with Ortega and Scott Carson offering support to Ederson.
However, reports that Steffen could be a transfer target for Leicester are news to the goalkeeper, who insisted that he has no knowledge of that particular transfer option.

Speaking in the US this weekend, Steffen said: “All my friends told me about this Leicester [report], but I haven’t heard anything from my agent. So my focus is just to get healthy and build a foundation of strength and then whatever else the Lord has for me, I’ll let him plan out.”
Whether Steffen joins Leicester or not, new Foxes boss Maresca hinted last month at looking to City for signings, saying: “One or two of them would do us nicely. City really do have a lot of young players that I know very well, having worked with them at under-23 level and coached there this season.”
Under contract at City until 2025, Steffen said in March that he expects to leave this summer.
He said: “I don’t think I’ll go back. No, I want to be playing. Although I had a great time at City and I love those guys, and obviously [it’s] an amazing club, I don’t really have any plans to go back.”
