Zachary Levi, known for voicing Flynn Rider in Disney's animated film Tangled, has expressed his enthusiasm for a potential live-action reboot of the beloved movie. Levi, 43, recently shared his top choice for the role of Flynn Rider, suggesting that actor Timothée Chalamet would be a perfect fit.
While there is currently no official announcement from Disney regarding a live-action adaptation of Tangled, Levi remains hopeful for the project. He even mentioned the idea of himself and Mandy Moore, who voiced Rapunzel in the original film, making a cameo appearance as Rapunzel's parents.
Reflecting on his experience working on Tangled, Levi expressed his pride and gratitude for being part of the animated musical. He described the opportunity to be in a Disney animated film as a dream come true, particularly considering the film's success and popularity.
Although a sequel to Tangled was never produced by Disney, Levi found joy in participating in the animated series, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, alongside Mandy Moore. The duo reprised their roles for the TV series and a TV movie titled Tangled: Before Ever After.
Levi also mentioned his excitement about the possibility of a live-action adaptation of Tangled and expressed his anticipation for how the project will come together. Meanwhile, Moore has shared her own casting preference for a potential live-action Rapunzel, suggesting that Sabrina Carpenter would be a fitting choice due to her resemblance to a Disney princess.
