The Cincinnati Bengals won’t have wide receiver Tee Higgins against the Pittsburgh Steelers for Sunday’s Week 12 showdown.
Speaking with reporters on Friday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor revealed the info. According to CLNS Media’s Mike Petraglia, Taylor said that Higgins is on a good pace and pushing himself in rehab, but that there’s no reason to push in practice just yet.
Taylor had made it sound earlier in the week like Higgins could make his practice return alongside defensive end Sam Hubbard. And while Hubbard did, it sounds like precaution won out when it comes to Higgins this week.
In a critical contract year, Higgins has suited up in just seven games, dealing with a rib fracture earlier in the season and a hamstring injury in practice a few weeks back.
