Zac Fulton has inked a new two-year deal at Manly, just weeks after the young forward's aunty was controversially sacked by the NRL club.
The grandson of late Sea Eagles icon Bob, Fulton made a famous debut for Manly earlier this year as one of the feel-good stories of the Pride Jersey saga.
In doing so, he became the third generation Fulton to play for the club after Immortal Bob, as well as father Scott and his uncle Brett.
However the romance around the story was somewhat soured last month, with daughter of Bob, Kristie Fulton, dismissed by the NRL club in her role as elite pathways manager.
Both Scott and Brett remain employed by the Sea Eagles in recruitment and juniors roles, while middle forward Zac will now stay at Brookvale until the end of 2024 with his new deal.
"Zac fully deserves this contract and we look forward to seeing him take his opportunities in first grade next year,'" Manly CEO Tony Mestrov said.
"He is a very good edge runner with a high work ethic. His toughness and aggressive style of play is certainly not lost on his teammates."
The 21-year-old's resigning comes after Reuben Garrick stuck with Manly on a four-year deal earlier this week, while Jason Saab, Sean Keppie and Haumole Olakau'atu have also recommitted.
Mestrov claimed earlier this week that showed that players were happy with the new direction of the club, with Anthony Seibold poised to soon be announced as coach following Des Hasler's ugly early exit.
Seibold is still in the process of trying to cut his deal short with English Rugby, and will likely not arrive at Manly until late November.
A small group of players are due back at pre-season training midway through the month, with newly-appointed assistant Shane Flanagan to take charge in Seibold's absence.
Jim Dymock is among other new support staff appointed by Manly after Hasler's exit.
