Yves Bissouma to Tottenham: Spurs confirm £25m third summer transfer in huge coup for Antonio Conte

Tottenham have completed the signing of Yves Bissouma from Brighton in a £25million deal.

The signing is a major coup for Spurs, with the midfielder, who has attracted interest from a number of other Premier League clubs over the past year, available at a cut-price fee as he entered the final 12 months of his deal on the south coast.

The overall fee could eventually rise to around £30m if certain add-on clauses are met. The Mali international has signed a five-year contract and becomes Antonio Conte’s third new signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, who both came in on free transfers.

Conte will receive major backing in this summer’s transfer market after his side pipped north London rivals Arsenal to fourth spot to secure a Champions League return on the final day of the season.

The Italian is still hoping to add a centre-back, centre-forward and right wing-back to his squad before the end of the window, with Middlesbrough’s Djed Spence a leading target in the latter position.
