Yungblud Breaks Silence On Concerning Health Tests: ‘I have to do this'

Yungblud has announced that he will be canceling the remainder of his 2023 tour after receiving concerning test results from his doctor. The musician took to Instagram Stories to share the news with his fans, explaining that while this year has been “unbelievable,” he now faces a critical health issue that requires him to take a break from touring.

“This year has been truly unbelievable and I feel so lucky and honoured by everything that has happened,” Yungblud, 25, said in his post. However, he revealed that after returning from the road and undergoing routine tests, both his voice and blood tests raised some alarms. “My voice and blood tests have raised some concerns.

I have been ordered by my doctor to take a break from touring until the end of the year,” he added. Known for his relentless work ethic, Yungblud confessed that he often pushes himself to the limit for the sake of his music and his fans, as per Daily Mail.

“It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a f*** about anything apart from the music and you guys,” he said. But this time, his doctor’s advice was clear: he must prioritize his health. “I’ve been told I have to take it seriously, and I can’t f*** around. I’m so sorry to do this. But reluctantly, I have to cancel the shows through the end of the year.”

The canceled shows include performances in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, Mexico City, and various cities across Latin America. “My heart is broken,” Yungblud expressed, acknowledging the disappointment many fans will feel.

He further explained his decision, emphasizing that he didn’t want to risk any lasting damage to his voice and body. “I don’t want to do any lasting damage to myself. We are on a journey that I want to last forever. I understand that some of you will be frustrated,” he said. “I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do, but I promise I will make it up to you.”

Yungblud also reassured fans that all tickets for the US shows would be refunded. “If you sign up with an address at the link, I will send you a gift. I never take anyone’s love, support, or energy for granted. You know you are everything to me,” he wrote.

“But I need this time. USA, I will see you next year. Mexico and LATAM, we are already looking into my own shows down there that will be more affordable for next year, too. It’s gonna be unbelievable. I can’t wait. Dom x.” The announcement underscores Yungblud’s commitment to his health and long-term career, while assuring fans that he will return stronger in 2024.
