NEW DELHI: Yugul Sharma representing Llyod College in Greater Noida defeated JBM Global School Noida’s Ekansh Sharma in the first round of the XXXXV Delhi State Billiards and Snooker Championships here.
Yugul, 17, prevailed over Ekansh 74-15, 63-21 in a one-sided contest on the opening day of the tournament at the Baba Billiards Academy in Nirman Vihar.
Yugul showcased a variety of strokes and his mastery over green baize to sail into the second round in the sub-junior snooker category. The winner and runner-up of the championships will represent the Delhi state at the Nationals, to be held in Indore early next month.
