Two YouTubers went ghost hunting at the infamous Alcatraz prison in California and experienced unexplained screams and noises while walking through the cells.
Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara, the hosts of Watcher Production's "Ghost Files," went to the prison off the coast of San Francisco to investigate the rumours of it being haunted.
While Shane said he identified as a "sceptic" of the supernatural, Ryan says he is a "believer".
Ryan said before going to the island: "This is one of the few places where I can't run away from the location 'cause I'll just run straight into the ocean."
Alcatraz was used as a fort before becoming a military prison in the early 1900s.
By 1934 it was made into a federal prison and some of the country's most violent criminals carried out their sentences there.
The prison was shut down in the 1960s, and still sees massive crowds of tourists each year.
In 1979, the film Escape from Alcatraz starring Clint Eastwood depicted the true story of the 1962 prisoner escape from prison.
In the 40-minute YouTube video, Shane and Ryan explore Alcatraz in the dark.
Ryan starts trying to speak to spirits in the showers where two inmates were previously murdered.
He says: "Well if there's anybody here that would like to reach out to us, can you make your presence known?"
What sounds like spooky voices then fill the room in apparent response.
The pair make time to explain the history of each corridor of the prison as they explore Alcatraz.
Throughout the video, unexplainable activity continues to happen on their journey including what sounds like screams.
The video ends with: "Our job as investigators is to collect and present questions and possibilities. Interpretation belongs solely to you."
Many in the comments praised the pair's work.
