YouTuber WhistlinDiesel faces another tax arrest after previous 2025 case

Popular YouTuber Cody Detwiler, better known online as WhistlinDiesel, has been arrested again for tax-related issues, claiming he owes $30,000. This follows his previous arrest in November 2025 for tax evasion. The Tennessee-based vehicle and stunt content creator was booked in Williamson County during his first arrest and released on a $2 million bond after spending only a few hours in custody.

On January 25, 2026, Detwiler was taken into custody again shortly after returning to the U.S. from a trip abroad. This time, he was released after just 50 minutes. The internet personality appeared smiling in his mugshot and explained that he had never received official notice of the tax debt. He said the issue relates to a vehicle registered in Montana that was later destroyed in another state.
